At the top of Mt. Vesuvius, Pompeii, Italy 2015

I took my first photography class in high school freshman year. The class focused on light and taught the basics of depth of field and shutter speeds through a 35mm  black and white film camera and darkroom setting. I fell in love with the processes and continued my learning throughout high school and college. In my Junior year of college at Stevenson University, I was given the opportunity to go on a Spring Break travel abroad program to Eastern Europe for photography. On that trip, I learned more about my camera and my own photographic style than I had ever learned in a classroom setting.

My travels to Eastern Europe completely changed my life and opened my eyes to want to experience anything else the world has to offer. The travel bug bit me hard on that first trip and I have been to a total of 13 countries in just 3 years since then. In each new country or city I visit, I bring my camera along, enjoying the architecture, colors, and culture that each new place has to offer. One of my favorite things about traveling is sharing my experiences with others, and I have found that sharing my photography is the best way to do that. All of these images are original photographs From Meesh, To You.
